Fine then lets say for the sake of argument alcohol is a drug. A drug you have to taste and to nobody's surprise the taste isn't really all that great. Hell the best thing I tried was a Fisherman's Friend shot, and that only tasted good because the very strong taste of peppermint

Or explain what a drug is, then explain how alcohol isn't that.

A drug is a substance which may have medicinal, intoxicating, performance enhancing or other effects when taken or put into a human body or the body of another animal and is not considered a food or exclusively a food.

ok alcohol are drugs, do we count white sugar in that to?

dont try any liquors. Just go for hard lemonade, "strawberitas", hard cider, etc. If you cant stand alcohol taste you wont be able to stand any liquor. Might be able to get away with mixed drinks. Try a screwdriver (orange juice and vodka)

It's a sign of maturity. It's a socially acceptable behaviour that informs others of your kind that you can now interact with them in this unique way. It's close to being a ritual, if anything, a form of transcendence. All the parties, the celebrations, they're part of something bigger, tied together by this "code" of drinking, if you will. It doesn't even matter if you're alone in drinking, you still subscribe to it, and you're part of it.
