I heard the series was very dark and fucked up which is the main reason I started to watch this

I'm sure the hype has numbed your reaction, and I very much doubt that you didn't have episode 3 spoiled for you at some point in the last 3 years.

But, you wouldn't even need a single death scene to call something dark, and the way they did that particular scene was great.

I don't know how episode 6 is supposed to have swayed you.
