I think after the sale is over everyone who owns Chivalry should think about playing together.

i think he means for people here, it usually doesnt last long when, or few members play, and usually only 3 or 4 people are left who play together frequently

i bought chivalry cause my friend plays it, so count me in

It seems dumb. you use the trading cards to build badges(and I think emoticons for the chat idk though). These badges raise your level. Every 10 levels you get stuff for your profile. It isn't that big of a deal.

So I indulged the trading card thing and traded some dupes I had, finished City 17. You get an emote and a background for finishing a badge. Apparently you can continue leveling the badge, but I don't see the point.

i was sort of interested in the badges until i figured out that you can only earn 3 by playing the game, after that you either trade or buy them

Well there is the trading card booster pack. I have no clue how they work, but I know they exist.

when you get all the cards from a game you get eligible to win the booster pack, the higher your lvl the higher the chance.
you need to be playing the game i think

Once you have received all of your card drops, you become eligible for a booster pack, which is a set of 3 trading cards that may include both basic and foil cards. Booster packs are granted randomly to eligible users as more badges are crafted by members of the community. Make sure you log in to Steam each week to maintain eligibility.

Once eligible, your Steam Level increases your rate of receiving a booster pack drop:
Level 10: +20% increase in your drop rate
Level 20: +40% increase in your drop rate
Level 30: +60% increase in your drop rate
Level 40: +80% increase in your drop rate
Level 50: +100% increase in your drop rate (i.e. the rate has doubled)
Etc.

Apparently you don't. My friend woke up today with two booster packs in his inventory (I figure he was testing the theory of whether or not you needed to be playing the game so he just left steam on over night).

I've complete two badges so far. trading mostly. I sold one dupe I had for like 14 cents and just used it to get the card I needed.

I'm guessing that the card he referred to which has expired was one of these.

And you'd need the card to add to Paypal.
