Plot
Since ancient times long past, this world has been ruled by two tarot cards.

Diablos Tarot—The tarot of the devil that feasts on the souls of living humans and uses that nourishment to bring countless pain and suffering.

Elemental Tarot—The tarot that draws its energy from the power of nature in order to oppose the Diablos Tarot.

my first thoughts? it gives madoka vibes, and it seems interesting enough for me to keep watching it

Just started this today, definitely gives off Madoka vibes which is great. Looking forward to this series.

How to Madoka: Deconstruct genre

How to Gen'ei (as far as shown): Be dark

Dark anime =/= Genre deconstruction

Though it could still very well turn into one, the dark feel done right is definitely still great.
