So I've been watching old episodes of Digimon, and I got to thinking... how would you make a really good digimon game? Like one that had the same feel as the first season of the show.

It'd have to feature a lot of adventuring... perhaps moral quandries too...
Who would you control? The humans, or the digimon? Would you switch between the two for adventuring/battle?
Would fighting be like Pokemon, or would you get real-time battles?

How would you control an entire frikkin' team of people?

Or maybe you'd control the people the whole time, and your digimon would be summons? (Actually, that's a terrible idea probably, since the humans don't really do jack shit in battle apart from being a digivolution catalyst)
Which reminds me of a thought I had... what if there were some whatever-mon series thing where the humans weren't utterly useless in a fight?

What season of Digimon was it where the humans became the Digimon? There were 2 seasons like that.

Haven't you played Final Fantasy before? To answer your question, it would be just like a turn based rpg, possibly with some limited RT stuff like .hack, my favorite game series. If they made a Digimon game series like .hack, I'd play it.
