Seems like you care more about the idea of being in a relationship, than actually wanting to be with someone for their sake and your own. Almost so you can say, "Yep, I'm in a relationship and I'm happy.". I am undoubtedly wrong.

Well I want to be with someone who I'd be meaningfully and mutually happy with...
I want to have a relationship that'll comfortably last me the rest of my natural life, and if I meet someone, I'll do my best to determine whether or not such a thing is viable with them before jumping into anything.

I know that relationships can turn out shitty. I don't want to have someone just so I can brag about not being alone... I want someone who I can actually factually love... but I don't have someone like that, and it fucking sucks.
