I think nintendo just assumed that most people won't have 5.1 let alone 7.1. So many speakers. Aren't 7.1 systems expensive ?

They're not that expensive. I got myself some Z906 by Logitech couple months ago for my TV. May get another one for my computer.

well i read that 5.1 and 7.1 is the number of channels kinda like left and right channel for stereo....so it doest matter if the theater has 12 speakers it still uses either 5.1 or 7.1 the channels are just divided among the speakers.....at least thats what i think i read.....
