I think Zach had better things to do IRL than to spend time on SA. Since his GF was part of the site and we usually made an ass of ourselves, I think he was kinda embarrassed of leading the site. That's what I'm thinking, but I really have no clue what his actual motives are.

Or maybe the site was shut down since there wasn't a lot of revenue generated from the ads presented. Maybe Zach didn't have to money to keep it running.

This could be also another reasonable argument since SA was part of ipbhost (Invision Power), and their service charges 10 bucks per month.

Well yeah, he stopped paying for it because the ads weren't covering it and he had to foot the bill.
