Re: A bittorrent purge begins?
lol don't worry about anime so much, only programs and files that is of...concern, as miku and others said (films, music, software) Anime...lol if anything the country wants you to do anime so the business is lowered cause anime doesn't have a positive viewpoint atm.
Only certain things are tracked, I'm guessing things with album names or the like.

All I'm curious about is if I have anything to worry about using BakaBT or not, anime is the only thing I torrent.
That's private so you are all set there.

Well, my internet did go out twice, but i think it was the power cord.
I don't think Funianimation is participating in the system yet

Ok so i was just reading up on this thing. And it looks like that what is happening is that Hollywood and the Music industry are the major players in this system(no surprise there ). So what they are doing is essentially creating a system where these large companys while provide the file and and a separate company will then track bit-torrent uploads only, they then will contact the ISP and then the ISP gets in touch with you. So basiclly if you are using a private system like BakaBT then you have nothing to worry about. But if you download something of the pirate bay they can track that but only if you upload it. But there are ways around this, you can hook to a VPN outside of the country or you can use a Proxy which is what i recommend, and change the proxy that you use every quarter (3 months ). Its a little annoying but its better than nothing.....
And they say we are a free country...........

I assume that ISP have ways to check any little detail on what connection you are making and just go from there.
I'm sure they would find weird when they see that you are streaming content from the same thing everyday.lolololPT-Desu wrote:
But they aren't whining like little bitches
It's about time that those companies did something about it, to tell you the truth.
Guess it's time to install a virus protection and go underground again
Wanted to prevent doing that in this laptop.
Remember that every game still needs to connect with the sever at the game company's headquarters so that is not a real issue here. So Steam connects the the Steam servers.

Oh i ain't gonna stop i am just going to start using a proxy when i have to download stuff other than anime really the only thing i need to download is Adobe creative suite the rest is open source. And music now a days can be streamed for free and i don't mind paying for a song that i really like but then again you still can get music via other means without paying for it......So yeah small inconvince.

Re: A bittorrent purge begins?
I barely torrent stuff nowadays. I get my music from Spotify, my current TV shows (sans HBO because they're assholes) from Hulu Plus and my movies from Netflix. I pay for all three services.
