im almost temped to buy it cause i like devil may cry even though donte is a unbearable ass hat in this game,

I'll save the money for the Metal gear Rising Collector's Edition. Konami and Platinum games deserves it.

it's not ninja theory's fault, it's capcom for letting them make it. I want a Japanese game, not a bad attempt at one.

The fan base just screwed it over really,
DmC wasn't that bad of a game can't hold a hat to DMC but the gameplay is definitely fluid

why? I seen worse writers at companies that write shit for games that sell millions more.

If anything the writer's are better than average.

I'm still giving NT a chance with this.

It's not like if the game does well enough to make a sequel that they won't improve on the games flaws.
They've probably already had an earful about no lockon and the enemies that require specific weapons as flaws, so I can assume they'd fix those.
There's also complaints across the board from fans that the combos lost some depth.

And then what else is there to complain about gameplay wise if they fix these?

Have faith, it isn't the end of the world, devs learn if they get the chance and don't close down after their first game that doesn't sell well like SOOOO many others.

I bet theoratical youtube money that Revengeance will have great action but the story will fall flat.

I beg to differ. Considering Konami controls every aspect of MGR, they just aren't making the combat system

also I'm not denying that Konami is good story tellers, mgs 3 was a good game and had a good story imo. But half the time games like this falls flat in the story department. Hell even Devil may cry 3 and 4 got picked on for having a bit ho-hum story.

I'd love them to prove me long Pai-kun, but I'm not convinced yet. Because I really want to play the game, but for now, not for the story.

It's a video of Konami and Kojima specifically talking about how they felt they couldn't do the high speed combat of Raiden well enough so Kojima went to Platinum games and asked them to take over the combat/gameplay portion of the game while maintaining the same original storyline from Kojima

Kojima Productions is still strongly leading the production of the game and controlling Platinum games to make sure it is exactly how they want it.

some even argue mgs4 story narrative was dull.
