Please rate my first piece

I've always been more into photoshopping existing pieces but I've always wanted to get into making tags.

This is my first signature so constructive criticism and a push in the right direction would be much appreciated.

Eh, it's not much but it's a start.

I would suggest looking at some tutorials and go from there.

I use to go to Planetrenders and just browse the tutorial section for things that appealed to me.

I would mimic the sig as much as possible and get an idea of how the person does it, then make a new sig and try implementing my own "style" over the things i learned from the tutorial. You just get a feel for things and eventually you'll develop your own methods to making signatures.

There needs to be a focal. The slurred was an unnecessary effect. The text is simplistic and effective, and well placed, though it could be more varied with different sizing. Definitely needs a lot of polishing.

My only suggestion is that you also post the original picture, to have a side-by-side comparison; at least when you're not dealing with renders and building something from the ground up.
