Hmmm I agree, except the only thing that was really missing from the anime was the detail of gore that the manga has.

and the facial details of kyojins. some have really vacant scary faces not detailed enough in the animre

Yeah i agree that the gore was tuned down, But the detail with the expressions of the Kyojins are usually cleaned up and enhanced in the DVD version.
