Eureka Seven Ao 81682


Summary:
The story is set on Okinawa's isolated island of Iwado, which has seen a growing movement advocating a return to an autonomous government. Fukai Ao, a 13-year-old boy with a missing father, lives on the island with an old doctor named Toshio and is about to enter middle school. Ao's mother was taken away a decade ago by unknown individuals. Arata Naru, Ao's 13-year-old childhood friend and the story's heroine, lives with her father, older sister, and grandmother. She has a Yuta power awakened within her due to an incident when she was young.

A mysterious entity called Secret suddenly appears and launches an attack on the Scub Coral lifeform on the island. In his fervent desire to protect the island, Ao launches a certain military FP called Nirvash aboard a Japanese military transport.

wait?! first episode is out?! If so then this is atleast some good news after finding out Gintama's final episode was today...

oh wait.. April 14th... Well thats still almost there! CANT wait... Havent been this psyched for a new anime since gintama returned.

OK, I haven't seen Eureka Seven in a while so I might not know what I'm talking about.

In AO, clearly the planet they're on is earth (see pic below). In Eureka Seven, didn't it take place on a different world, then towards the end of the series, Renton and Eureka somehow travel to earth in the Nirvash (I think the kids might have been with them) when Eureka was transforming or whatever? I'm confused.

They were always on Earth, it was just covered by a layer of Scub Coral.
Nirvash removed some of it, and thats where Ao lives now.

If i remember correctly it did take place on earth, But the scub coral had invaded the entire planet and put a giant crust ontop of it. Which later became the home for humans. Thats where The first Eureka seven took place. At the end of Eureka Seven, the scub coral detached itself from earth and left into space

Eureka Seven Ao Bscap000

These episodes take place Under the Scub Coral, you can see the giant pillars in the background. This is also where the final 2 episodes took place mostly where they blasted a hole through the scub coral to try and enter it before it closes.

In the first episode of AO you see japan completely destroyed and decimated. Perhaps that is Old japan that was under the scub coral, all ruined and forgotten.

Atleast.. Thats what i think happaned!

The kids were aboard the gekkostate. Since renton solo'd nirvash towards the Scub egg where eureka was They flew back to earth and the nirvash sacrificed itself as a host for the Scub, so that eureka could be with renton. Its still kind of unexplained how the nirvash is actually back.

Well so far i'm guessing its the same universe, but like revy pointed out. The moon doesnt have the heart on it, and the nirvash shouldnt be there since it sacrificed itself as a host for the scub coral. Many unanswered questions!
