The Anime Faction History Preservation Society

The History of The Anime Faction:
The Anime Faction (AF) was founded on May 18, 2006 by H8TD1 as a private faction on GameTrailers.com (GT), which is owned by SPIKE TV. Not too long afterwards, H8TD1 had some problems with GT admin/mods and PT-Desu was picked as the next founder, a position he still holds to this day. Over the years we grew to become the largest faction on the site, larger than the Xbox 360 Faction and the PS3 Faction (on a gaming site no less) with more than 2,500* members. Around October of 2011, GT announced that the site would undergo a complete redesign and that in the process they would permanently be getting rid of factions. Following the announcement, we decided to create our own forum to keep our faction together, and on November 6, 2011, these forums officially opened to the public.** Over the next few months, regulars to AF slowly migrated to the new site, and the GT Anime Faction became less and less active. On June 27, 2012, GameTrailers implemented the site redesign and our original forum was lost forever.
We are very fortunate to have such a dedicated and active community here at AF. We're always looking for new ways to attract new members such as a YouTube Channel, a DeviantArt profile, Steam Group, creating threads with lots of downloadable content, forum games & competitions, and more. The Anime Faction is here to stay.
* Don't know the exact number, the last I was able to check it was at least that. The actual number was probably larger.
** At first you had to register before you could view the forums. After a couple weeks, we made the forums viewable to guests.
NOTE: Event below is over, our original forums are gone for good. Browse this thread for screen shots of some of our best memories.
Think of this as a unofficial longterm event. The goal of this is to preserve the history of our group before it is lost forever.
Much like the first time Gametrailers changed their forums. History repeats itself once more and all our years of memories is at stake, again.
So if you're a still a member of the AnimeFaction in gametrailers. I'd like you to go deep into the history and look for past events and any particularly memorable pieces of our group history, and re-upload them or link to them so someone else can re-upload.
Also be sure to collect all the events and all the rules to the events. For backup.

An odd turn of events.
Shammon woke up to a cloudy morning. The only thing he noticed was the fact that he wasn't in his own bed but in fact someone else's. He looked around noticing all the stuff that wasn't his. The vague hint of pink walls only obscure by the clouds outside. The coffee mug that said "You go girl." The CD collection, filled with Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, and Smashing Pumpkins. The only CD that seemed out of place was the Coldplay album. Shammon noticed the sheets on the bed which were light pink and had a hint of perfume sprayed across it. After a few minutes of just laying there and thinking, Shammon finally understood what happened. "I either turned into a chick. Or I got lucky last night." He looked down his shirt and noticed he had no boobs. "I got lucky then." He got up, and noticed his clothes, neatly organized and put away in the corner of his room with a note that said, in pink letters no less, "How do you like your eggs?" He stared blankly at the note and yelled down the stairs, "Scrambled!" What responded back was a calm and cool voice with a hint of obedience. "Okay!" It was Zuly. Shammon put his clothes on and walked down stairs to notice Zuly, wearing a white blouse and a black skirt. She was also wearing a leather jacket.
"How are you?" Zuly asked, smiling a bit. "I'm alright." Shammon responded and noticed the plate of eggs on his plate. "Did we..?" Zuly looked at him and laughed. "No, we had a couple of drinks last night and you stayed at my place. I had to run out anyways so it's no big deal." Shammon looked a bit gloom after hearing that and took a bite out of his eggs, which made him smile brightly. "My God, this is amazing. You must be an amazing cook." Zuly smiled again, "Thank you, I learned to cook from my father believe it or not." Shammon nodded and kept on eating and noticed the television, which was on the news, was a bit off but the audio could be heard vaguely. Words such as.. Suicide and Group and Possible and Murder could have been heard. "Is there a way to fix that?" Zuly nodded and tapped it lightly. When it didn't work, she smacked it hard which made the screen pop out. She tapped it light and screen, vibrant in colors, popped back in. Shammon couldn't help but laugh at her random outburst of violence.. to a television, but the laugh slowly faded when the words coming out of the reporters mouth filled his ears, which made him drop his fork, which made him pay full attention. "This is Nel Muncdo, reporting to you live from Wata Avenue where on the scene, three men were found on the ground, dead. The victims names, Janaff Nagi, Oni Suzi, and Eras Patterson, were found on the ground, dead from an apparent suicide jump. These also happen to be three of the customers who were in the deadly ordeal at the Sunrise murder. Detectives have ruled out foul play and suspect the three killed themselves in a suicide group and jumped off their building onto the street. There were traces of alcohol in the room as well as normal food such as pizza, so this could have just been an accident although detectives are ruling that out. This is Nel Muncdo, and this is Aria Fact News." Shammon just stared. Zuly looked at him and faintly asked, "Did you know them?" Shammon just stared, in awe, wonderful, shock and fear. Zuly walked over and hugged him, hoping it would make him talk. Shammon uttered a few words, but important words, which were muffled only by the sound of tears, which spoke louder then his words.
"So what you're telling me is, you think someone murdered these guys?" A detective asked Lime. "It makes sense that the murderer from the Sunrise restaurant would come back to off the rest of us. He wants the job done." The detective just looked at him a little wild eyed and confused. "But if that was the case, then why would he get the three of them and push them off a building? Wouldn't he have just shot them." Alcoy sat up in his chair and rubbed some dust from his eyes. "Obviously he's a sick individual. What other reason is there?" Lime looked at Alcoy, "Well he does have a point you know. I just doesn't add up here." Alcoy smiled lightly. "Well, if they did kill themselves, why jump off a building, I mean I know they were drunk but they still would have felt the pain even after the impact you know? Were they spiked with anything, the drinks I mean." Lime shrugged and the detective looked at him. "Well the autopsy shows that their blood was laced with some kind of drug found in pain killers that reduces pain, although it was at an alarmingly high dosage. Maybe that might be the thing you're referring to." Alcoy rubs his head and laid back. "Well at least you know that me and Lime don't have some sort of emotional problem like those other people." Lime glared at him and responded quickly, "First off, you get blood all over you, then you tell me she's not emotionally unstable. Secondly, you don't know what the fuck I'm feeling right now, so don't assume." Alcoy got up, "The fuck is your problem man? You've been mister cool ever since the damned incident and I think you need to cut the little bullshit act and say it, you're scared aren't you?" Lime gave him a mean look and balled his fist. "Now look both of you.." The detective began but Alcoy continued, "You know, I wouldn't be surprised if you were scared and emotionally unstable just like Zuly, and pull off this cool bullshit act just so you won't have to go through the therapy." Lime threw his glass (of water) to the wall and stood up, "Now look! I've just had it up to here with you. Who the hell do you think you are? You think you're so smart and intelligent and I think it's about time that somebody, with some common sense like myself, tells you to keep your God damn mouth shut." The detective walks over to Lime, "Listen calm down, we've had a rough afternoon. Just relax Lime." Lime glared at the detective. "I understand but he should keep his mouth shut. I don't give a damn if he's intelligent. As smart as he is, he should know that sometimes, things are better off not said." Alcoy smiled, "If you want an apology, I'd be happy to give you one." Lime snapped. "You fucking!" He grabs him by the neck and stares at him, choking him. "Lime! Lime calm down! We're all just worked up. Put him down." Lime kept on choking him until he let go a few moments later. He walked out the room. Alcoy sat on the ground. "Maybe we're both scared." He said. "Maybe."
Iept, sitting in his room, called up Zuly to see how she was. "Zuly, how are you?" There was a bit of a muffle on her side. "I'm alright, how are you?" Iept sighed, "Fine I suppose, just very bored and tired. How you feeling, haven't seen you since the incident. Have you spoken to Lime or Alcoy?" Zuly laughed a bit and whispered something to another. "No I haven't, although I hear Lime and Alcoy are helping the police now or something." Iept laughed. "Alright then, we'll what are you doing?" Zuly laughed and responded, "Oh you know, the usual, cooking, cleaning, cutting." There was a big emphasis on cutting. "Oh what are you cutting?" There was a loud muffle, almost the sound of a cry. "Cutting some oranges." "Oranges?" There was no sound on her end. "Yeah, sorry I'm sorta busy at the moment, I've got this guy tied up, and ready for some action with me tonight." Iept laughed. He laughed hard. "Zuly, you still into S&M ?" Zuly laughed. "Well actually it was his idea, I'm just dusting off my boots." The muffle came back and it seemed more of a laughing muffle. "Alright well as long as you're okay. Did you hear about the three who killed themselves? Sounds like foul play." Zulys laugh turned into silence. "I heard. It was probably just a suicide. Like they said." Her voice wasn't cheerful, nor happy. It was super calm, and focused. "Yeah probably. Well I'll see you around then." "Yeah, maybe. Anyways, I don't want to keep this guy waiting, see you soon. Bye." There was a click.

- Hurt and heal 5 rules:
(Revised) Rules:
1. Everybody posts ONCE PER UPDATE.
2. Each turn, you can only heal 1 person and hurt 1 person. You can't heal one person and not hurt anyone and vice versa. Heal = 1HP, Hurt = -2HP
3. If their HP hits 0 at any time, they are dead (K.O.) and no more healing will work on them.
4. You may hurt one character for 2HP OR hurt two characters for 1HP each. It is your decision.
5. To speed up the process, characters who don't receive a heal or a hurt (inactive characters) will lose 1HP at the end of each turn. Characters who reach 0 will consequently fall out of the game. This rule will apply for chars who haven't been healed or hurt for over 5 turns as well.
About Skill Points:
1. When a character dies, the player who killed him/her will receive a skill point. Skill Points are unlimited this time.
2. When 10 characters are remaining, skill points will be removed from players, all characters' status will return to normal.
How to use skills:
Shield Ability - Cost: 1SP. This is a status effect. The character will suffer 1HP loss instead of 2HP on a HURT. Also prevents the 1HP loss per turn.
Null/Shield Breaker - Cost: 1SP. This will remove Shield on a character. When a shield is removed the same character won't be able to receive another until next turn.
SP Heal - Cost: 1SP. An additional 2 HP gain,
SP Hurt - Cost: 1SP. An additional -2 HP loss,
Rules preserved.

Yeah, I have some of the events already backed up in some text docs now.
Such as the audiosurf event, hurt and heal 5 and, the hurt and heal which contained poison and swap, and also the s4 league event content.
