Now that all our venting is done, Gamasutra did a nice little write-up that mirrors the episode of Extra Creditz that they also mention. I agreed with a lot of points Extra Creditz made back when I first saw that episode, and still do. But one thing you'll notice is that "Best [insert quality of game here]" is kind of what award shows are about. "Highest achievement" awards provide a nice contrast, but those things are tough to judge, and are often mired in sociopolitical maneuvering.

Any of you guys listen to Deadmau5? I can only say I enjoy a couple of his songs (Some Chords is the only one I can remember), but when they announced him at the show, that was the only time I was ok with a celebrity appearance. He actually belongs there.
