I think EA are absolute shitheads too but I don't see a problem with Origin.

Origin is pretty bad. Battlefield 3 runs through a webpage which forces one to leave the webpage open while playing the game. The friend system is terrible I sent a friend invite to my friend who got it an hour later. On top of that all they offer is EA games, that's not competition at all. Origin is just another attempt by EA to make more money that's it.

Of course I don't hate each individual working at EA. I just hate the decision making of the company because even if one man was deciding everything in the company, as long as it is under the name of EA or any company for that matter the company becomes liable for the mistakes.

But they DO sell games that aren't made by EA.
And the Battlelog bullshit isn't exactly Origin's fault.

The only good thing about Origin is that their download speed and service is much better than Steam's.

Maybe cause hardly anybody uses Origin often to download.
