Would've taken Rage over lolcod. But you have to remember that CoD is the more straight-forward game. You just shoot what moves, and don't have to think at all while doing it. No stealth, but if it takes place in the same universe (there's no reason why it wouldn't), that's enough. no, not even the missing stealth thing, the whole feel of the trailer felt like something that of a trailer for Bayonetta or something. If you look at past MGS trailer's it had this emotional feel to it, the dark ambient mood of warzone. This trailer feels like a trailer for a superhero action movie or something. You have to admit all those subtitle headings in the MGRising fontstyle and cheesy one liners were dumb.

Fair enough. I tend to watch for mechanics, so the tone of a trailer sometimes slips by me if it's not really heavy on one emotion or state of mind. This one definitely didn't tug on your heart-strings or invoke surges of bravado like past MGS trailers. I admit flashes of Ninja Gaiden ran through my head, and I'm not sure I like it. The trailer itself was clearly about blood lust, and it looks like it's moving away from the heaviness of the core MGS series.
