Anime Faction Online 5.0 Development Thread

As everyone can see, I do not intend to keep this as a secret, but AF has came a very long way after making my return last winter. There were many new features, good and bad, and with the correct feedback from members, we have implemented our latest 4.0 update.

Now, with the upcoming 5.0 update, there will be several features to be removed from the forum to keep the forum simplified, and a place where members can actually promote news, as well as preparing Anime Faction for commercial advertisement to bring more influx of members for our forum.

In any cases, these will be several features that will be implemented, and that is mostly the new art style that will be updated by gathering opinions from members. Another feature will also be integrating Portal with forum news for both members and the Staff to post news about anime, manga, visual novels, the general media contents, and so on. If anyone here has any suggestion, or question, do post here, and this thread will be updated frequently.

Well, as for the moment I can't change the left side's render, because I've yet found any that's compatible with the right one in terms of size. So for now, this will do. It's not like it'll be permanent anyway.

Yeah, I am still testing back and forth since my computer framerate is funky, so I have to switch back and forth on both laptop and PC to review it. So it might take a bit for quality control. And also, the format PT gave me really does needs an update, because it's actually larger than it should be.

Updated with the letters consistency.

I think we have enough talented people here to be able to start our own fansub/scanlation

I'm sure, if anyone here has the time or resources to do it.

and the larger the better, downside is that you need higher resolution material to work with.
If you're going to work with a smaller resolution it will look horrible when it gets scaled to some one with a higher resolution, the opposite doesn't happen.

Also, i'm pretty sure the reason the background looks kinda bad in terms of quality is because it's a JPG

The background is PNG, not JPEG. Odd thing was that I actually resized the image down, not stretching it out. Hmmm.

i'm talking about the one we have now, imgur changed it from PNG to JPG if you had it as PNG

Oh, it did? No wonder. What imagehosting do you suggest to host then? Because sometimes Photobucket ends up resizing the image, it's annoying.

I'm sure we are not lacking in resources, lots of us here have gaming PCs so we have enough power to encode fast, we would just need someone that knows how to create effects for karaoke... The rest is done using Aegisub. I've worked for a subbing group before so I know it's not that complicated, we just need people that would be committed
