I almost finished it today and i'm loving it.
I only dislike the fact that you're forced to use certain weapons for certain enemies, i would rather just use the sword.

Not has good as DMC4 for me but i'm still enjoying it

DMC4 was the only DMC game i played before this one.
The fact that i didn't played the other ones probably was for the best, since it didn't affected my judgement on the game.
Not that it ever does to be honest, i ALWAYS give games a try, otherwise it's not really a fair judgement since you're pretty much talking of your ass of taking opinion from other people asses or their opinions/tastes

Mang, you don't know what you're missing. :p

Those games are godlike. With the exception of 2. And If you like the new DmC this much, then you'll really like 1 and 3.

I'd recommend getting the HD collection if you have a PS3 or Xbox.

Imma just copy-paste what I said to someone else about the game.

At the end of the day, all things considered, it's a solid game by technicality, but an exceedingly meh one as far as the experience goes. If anything, it makes me want to play DMC3/4 again because they're so much better.

alright just got some extra time to finish it.
I guess if i was actually interested in DMC previous games or its lore i would have seen this ending coming a mile away, but it still got me by surprise.

Are the first 3 DMC games connected ? as in the story
or are they different games with different stories ?

Also how was Dante and the world presented in DMC 1 ?
I think i recall seeing in one of the games Dante being a demon hunter ?

The chronology of the games goes something along the lines of: 3 -> 1 -> 4 -> 2, if I'm not mistaken. Thing is, DMC3 being a prequel, it kind of fucks around a bit with what happens in the first game, re-writing some stuff. Otherwise, while they are connected in characters and such, they are their own stories.

Dante Started being a demon hunter at the Third game, because that's the first one that appears Chronologically.
The stories are all linked with the exception of the new one DmC.
As for the theme of DMC compared to DmC, In my opinion DmC was a lot more abstract, in the art and style...background all going up and down and the separation of demons being only visible in limbo. In the previous DMC the demons are there.
from the 3->1->4 (as noble said) Dante is still very sarcastic, cocky, hilarious. In the 2nd one which is the last in terms of Order of time he becomes a lot more serious.
I personally Enjoyed all of the DMC and DmC game. It will be worth the play if you ever decide to play it. Get them emulatorrrrssss if you're too cheap to buy it ^^.

So it's like DmC is would be before DMC 1
In DMC 1 , he is a Demon Hunter and demons roam around with humans.
The way DmC ends is with the end of Limbo making demons appear around with the humans, Vergil still liked Dante and Dante is younger.
At the end of the game he gets his white hair.

See where im getting at ? :D
it would be hilarious, but there would be no point in redoing the rest, unless they wanted to milk it

you could even go all the way to DmC being before DMC3. Because in DmC he doesn't have a demon form, he awakens it in DMC3 ha ha

Not that they would be connected in any way.

You're aren't going to connect the reboot to the first series.

DmC 2 reveal trailer

>We see Dante helping out the authorities clearing out the city from Demons.
>After a while Dante needs to settle down and get some money, he starts by being a Demon Slayer for hire since slaying Demons is what he does best.
>Dante is getting ready for a job. Walking towards a mirror to check if he's looking good for it (because we know he is cocky)
>Camera follows him from behind, we can see his reflection on the mirror.
>As the camera gets near it starts turning to face Dante instead of the reflection.
>Sudden time lapse
>Suddenly we get an older Dante which looks a lot more like the "old" Dante.

But they aren't connections to the old series, lol.

As a reboot, of course they are going to be similarities and throwbacks to the old series in terms of plot, but no connections to it by any means. If they were indeed connections to the old games then it wouldn't even be a reboot. :p

Im having a lot of fun.

My only complaint so far is the highest difficulty you have unlocked at the beginning of the game is still too easy.
