Hunter X Hunter (2011) is sooo good

This anime is f***ing epic so far. I never watched the original series, so I decided to check it out to compare, and the new HxH is sooo much better than the old on. Character designs are better, voice acting fits a lot better especially Hisoka, and most importantly, the music is amazing.

This remake is so good, they should remake other stuff too, like YuYu Hakusho.

The new series just finished the Heavens Arena arc, and I've been watching the odd episode now and then to compare. Some of the earlier ones, and some of the Nen episodes because people were talking about the Nen sound effects being different, so I wanted to see what they were like.

No I never watched the series at all before, I've just been going back now and comparing. Once I compared some of the current arcs, I decided that I'd rather wait for the new series to catch up because the old series isn't as good in terms of production. I'm sure it was fine when it released, but anime has really moved on from back then.

yes, the new anime of HxH is very well done im making my way to the yorkshin arc. the latest episode just begun the greed island arc.(they just entered the game).

Hope they do the crimson ant arc.

im sure they will. although it wasnt my favorite arc. im just pumped to see the ryodan animated.

I actually can't believe how amazing this show is. The main thing I like about it is that they continually make enemies feel invincible, and then they show you that everybody can be killed in an instant with Nen.

i feel this series takes the opposite approach of mainstream series. Its soo good because its so different, so original. This series if they wanted to can easily reach 1000 chapters of pure amazingness. Its a huge world and so mysterious as well. Since the beginning all its done is leave us with questions after every chapter/episode about where the series will go, what does the world contain, what are all the professions that can be lead by being a hunter, etc.?

I've watched the original Hunter X Hunter and all the OVAs twice. EVEN THE MUSICAL. However, HxH has had very few attractive females in it, and never a love interest, unless you count the girl that slept with Hisoka, and because of that, there is this super negative disposition that the characters are gay. Does anyone else feel this way or not care about that fact?

gay...? ummm noo i havent seen that at all, although hisoka can be awkward in that way sometimes. and no i dont care for romance in this series much. hxh just has so much going in each arc that it doesnt phase me.

You don't see it? Kurapica is the tsundere to Leorio. Not so much with Gon and Killua as they're just supposed to be innocent kids, and Killua definitely likes girls from what I remember. Doesn't stop the Yaoi doujins though...

Honestly though, I hate it when there is a forced love interest. There doesn't need to be a love interest in every single anime.
