Starship Troopers Invasion 2012 (CG movie)

A distant Federation outpost Fort Casey comes under attack by bugs. The team on the fast attack ship Alesia is assigned to help the Starship John A. Warden stationed in Fort Casey evacuate along with the survivors and bring military intelligence safely back to Earth. Carl Jenkins, now ministry of Paranormal Warfare, takes the starship on a clandestine mission before its rendezvous with the Alesia and goes missing in the nebula. Now, the battle-hardened troopers are charged with a rescue mission that may lead to a much more sinister consequence than they ever could have imagined….
reason why i put this here is because its directed by Shinji Aramaki who did movies like Appleseed, and its CG naturally

I think this 'll be better than the actual live action movies.

Doesnt take allot to be better than 2 and 3. I think even twilight rates higher than 2 and 3..

yeah i agree 2 sucked huge, 3 was better than 2 but still sucked, 1 was the only "good" one

i didnt even give 3 a shot... the big plastic looking supersoakers that were supposed to be "rifles" threw me off the second they showed up.

i just watched it cause rico was back, but they didnt give him a major role just commander of the new marauder exoskeleton units :/

Well at least the basic suits they wear have jet packs like in the books, and they are fighting bugs and not mysterious alien things like in the OVA. I wish there was someone who would make a movie that was closer to the actual book, instead of just getting mix and match through the different things.

there was that one series like a decade ago, but im not sure if that was accurate, probably more so than the live action movies though

you're probably talking about Roughnecks STC. Hell even the power rangers movie had better cgi than that.

Sadly i was never introduced to it until about 2002+ because of european air dates :\ So yeah, my opinion on the cgi was a bit disastrous :P
