Is there a visual novel that you absolutely love and want to give some recognition? This is the place to do it! Simply make a post saying which visual novel you would like to nominate and we'll decide at the end of each month. The chosen VN will be featured here, complete with DL links.

I've already chosen one for this month since it's almost over, but let me know what you would like to feature next month!

Visual Novel Of The Month Entarance

Muv-Luv & Muv-Luv Alternative

Muv-Luv (which consists of two parts, Extra (part 1) and Unlimited (part 2)) and Muv-Luv Alternative is like a three course meal. You're not there for the appetizers, you're there for the main course. The first course, Muv-Luv Extra, is like a mediocre salad; its taste isn't great and it doesn't fill you up at all. The second course, Muv-Luv Unlimited, is like bread sticks; they taste
pretty good and they're somewhat filling. Then comes what you've been waiting for, the main course, Muv-Luv Alternative; a juicy 10 oz filet mignon with a side of garlic mashed potatoes and fried vegetables that is both delicious and completely filling.

Enjoy your meal.

Muv-Luv Alternative - Torrent | DDL | Patch Download

^ Yeah, only Alternative has the gruesome deaths, and the first death takes you completely by surprise - it has quite the impact. It's also the only one that the BETA appear in, and the story is amazing.

The first game, Muv-Luv, is really only for setting up Alternative. By itself, it's a very mediocre VN, but you have to read it to understand Alternative.

I just finished all of Muv Luv, and it's definitely not a bad place to start off. Just remember, that Extra is only the beginning.

You have DDL links for the game? I've been going cold turkey on torrents, which makes it really hard to read VNs.

Muv Luv Extra/Unlimited

Muv Luv Alternative

This is a great site for getting VN's period.

@FA

Probably a good time to bring this up. This site is great for getting VN's. The site admin is very active and is constantly expanding the site, he even added a separate site for the community. And he recently started using torrents as well.

^ Yeah, I've known about that site for years, as well as this site and this site. The main reason why I never used it is because I absolutely hate downloading large files with DDLs when they're split into multiple parts (Alternative is 21 parts!). Torrents are so much more convenient, no having to wait between downloads, no download limitations, and you only have to download one file. And yes, I know about JDownloader, but you still have to add all the links to the queue and some sites make you wait 15-90 minutes between downloads.
That's why I was trying to make a site with torrents only, for those that hate DDLs like myself, but it's a lot harder to find seeded torrents for everything and I can't make my own torrents. It's nice that erogedownload started adding torrents, but the vast majority of them are still DDL only.

While that's true, not everyone wants to torrent if they don't have to. I see no problem with it being an option. And torrents for VN's can be pretty unhealthy when it comes to number of seeds and download speed, so even if Alternative is 21 parts on erogedownload, it's a reliable alternative(no pun intended) to torrents.

I definitely think torrent links should be prioritized, but I still think having a DDL option ready to go would be worth the small amount of additional effort.

Maybe Sharin no Kuni, Himawari no Shoujo to change up the pace a little. Muv-Luv is pretty heavy.
