Okay this is just a general Sailor Moon thread so everything is on the table as in:

Classic series and movies
Original English Dub
The upcoming anime reboot

and anything else you can think of.

Now the reason I made the thread was for a bit of nostalgia with some news I saw today. I don't know how many of you ever watched the original series English dub back years ago. I know there are a lot of sub "purists" in the faction and that's fine,

but then I saw this bit of news today for the upcoming anime expo this year in LA and I admit the little fanboy in me got very giddy:

Say what you will about anime dubs and even old 80's anime dubs, I'm excited to see all five of these ladies at the same time. Its hard enough to get panels like this at cons in Japan for old series, let alone American cons, so this is awesome at least to me. I may be the only one excited about this news and if I am that's fine, but I wanted to pass the news along.

New series is 26 episodes.
Episodes will air every other week, not every week which is weird.
Usagi's VA from the original series will be reprising her role.

Viz is releasing the entire original series (All five seasons and movies) on dvd/blu-ray/stream uncut, subtitled, and with an all new dub.

Plus they also have the rights to Crystal.

You ever watch the original Sailor Moon dub? They cut episodes, stories, character arcs because it wasn't kid friendly. They also changed names.

For example the whole Neptune and Uranus being an item....yeah that was out.

So that's what they mean by uncut, and it will be available uncut for the first time in America ever.

Yeah think of it like a 4kids edit of the show. However it was nowhere near as bad as the butchering of One Piece.

Funny I was thinking Orihime from Bleach but its the same actress yes. Usagi is an extremely happy person and the biggest klutz in the world. Sounds like she'll nail the role.

Speaking of Bleach im surprised that JYB didn't get the role of Tuxedo Mask
